SCILT Outreach Conference 2 February

Four areas covered this year were Citizenship and the Global Dimension in ML, HmiE on Excellence, Curriculum for Excellence and The Common European Framework

Catriona Oates of SCILT spoke about Citizenship in the ML class. She had a very interesting set of photos provided by Oxfam which will be on SCILT website soon. They showed different families across the world and the food they ate in a week and how much it cost.

Robert McKinstry in his presentation on CfE showed examples of texts highlighting world issues eg Darfur.
