Advanced Higher French students from schools in East and South Ayrshire participated in a highly demanding simulation of an EC debate on nuclear power all in French. The participants were divided into political parties and into cross-party expert groups to discuss policies and proposals. They then had to report back to their party and then submit a motion and an amendment, propose this to the whole group and answer questions. They were supported in group work by teachers and French assistants.
