Ayrshire-Saxony summer camp
9 pupils aged 16-17 from Saxony joined a similar group of s5/6 German learners from Cumnock and Grange Academies for a week of outdoor activities at the Dolphin House, Culzean. This link has been going since 2002 with year about visits to Germany and Scotland.
This is a great opportunity to get to know Germans and to put language skills to use in a real context. The group gelled particularly well. Some of the participants knew each other from last year's visit to Bad Muskau in Saxony. In the past pupils have kept in contact and private visits have been arranged. Already our pupils are talking of visiting their new friends.

The Germans loved the situation by the sea.
